Programme of Meetings for 2019

Coronavirus (COVID 19)

We are happy to promote local events related to the history of Redditch which are taking place in the area. However due to the existing pandemic crisis there is very little activity. Our National Needle Museum - Forge Mill Needle Museum and Bordesley Abbey Visitor Centre www.forgemill.org.uk - is currently closed. However, there is a virtual Heritage Day available at www.hod2020.redditchmuseum.org.uk which was created by the volunteers at the museum. Royal Enfield enthusiasts begin development of museum dedicated to the historic brand. A report on this by the Redditch Standard can be found at https://redditchstandard.co.uk/news/royal-enfield-enthusiasts-begin- development-of-museum-dedicated-to-the-historic-brand/ ` Anthony Green, Society Secretary

Coronavirus (COVID 19)

Due to the ongoing situation the Executive Committee have decided that it would be unwise to have any further meetings this year. As our next meeting would have been the Annual General Meeting in April 2020, we have decided to make our next meeting the Annual General Meeting in April 2021. This means effectively that we are taking a 1 year break in our membership and activities. The Executive Committee continues to have contact by e-mail and telephone and we hope to have a ‘real’ committee meeting before the AGM. Anthony Green, Secretary, RLHS
